In the movies Friday (1995), Next Friday (2000), and Friday after Next (2002), the father, Mr. Jones, was played by John Witherspoon (born John Witherspoon on January 27, 1942 in Detroit, Michigan).

The exciting news that's going around is that Witherspoon will be back for the 4th and final movie in the "Friday" series, rumored to be titled Last Friday.

Lots of people thought it wouldn't happen because a death hoax started on Twitter had many believing that Witherspoon had died; thankfully the 70 year old actor and comedian is very much alive.

Since Last Friday is still in the writing stage, we don't expect to see it until at least 2013, if not 2014, but in the meantime Witherspoon will be appearing in the film Bring Me the Head of Lance Henriksen, and the TV series The First Family, later this year.
