Lil Boosie, also known as Torrence Hatch is a rapper from Baton Rouge, Louisiana. He pleaded guilty to three counts of conspiring to bring drugs into a penal institution, and was sentenced to eight years in prison on November 29, 2011. There is no official release date for Lil Boosie, but it should be late 2018, early 2019.

Torrence Hatch was also charged with first-degree murder in the death of Terry Boyd. On May 11, 2012, he was found not guilty of first degree murder. He also has other drug charges currently pending.

In recent news, rapper Webbie, part of Lil Boosie's "Trill Family" crew was recently arrested on battery and robbery charges. The two had a hit song "Independent" in 2008 along with Lil Phat.
