Former White House Office of Legislative Affairs employee/intern Monica Lewinsky is best known for her relationship with Bill Clinton while he was president. Since news of the scandal blew in 1998 she has earned a master’s degree in social psychology from the London School of Economics, launched a failed handbag line, and worked briefly as a news correspondent. A friend of Lewinsky recently told the press, “No one will hire her [today] and she can’t get a job because of Clinton.”
Lewinsky first shared her story with author Andrew Morton in Monica’s Story published in 1998. She was just offered a $12-million deal to write a book herself. Her love letters to Clinton, more intimate details about their affair, and his alleged complaints about Hillary (U.S. Secretary of State) are rumored to be included in the memoir.
People close to Lewinsky told reporters, “Several publishers would love her to tell all, but she has no intention of doing so… She has put it behind her and moved on with her life.”
