Actress Lynn Collins has said she is of Irish and Cherokee descent. Collins, who was born on May 16, 1977 in Texas, is known for her roles in "True Blood" (2008), "X-Men Origins: Wolverine" (2009), and more recently in "John Carter" (2012).
Her character in John Carter, Dejah Thoris, is a princess of the city-state of Helium on the planet Mars and she is a member of the Martian race "red men". She says that she cried when first reading the script and describes her role as the "dream role of a lifetime".
