Not medical advice: There are two oblong blue pills that contain “525” in the imprint, but none of any color or shape with “s525”.
A blue oblong (capsule shaped) pill with the imprint of “93” above an imprint of “5256” is 300mg of Clindamycin Hydrochloride. The same color and shape with an imprint of “TEVA” on one half of the capsule and “5256” on the other half is also 300mg of Clindamycin Hydrochloride.
Clindamycin is marketed under the brand name Cleocin. It is used to treat serious bacterial infections. It is an antibiotic and as such carries the advisory that the full dose should be taken as prescribed for the full duration of the prescription even if symptoms go away sooner.
Clindamycin Hydrochloride is the form intended for oral application, as is found in pill form. Clindamycin Phosphate is the gel or foam form intended to be used topically such as with the treatment of acne.
