The Louis Vuitton fashion brand is the one that uses the overlapping L and V, as seen in the center of the photo below.
Most famous for their handbags and suitcases, the Louis Vuitton brand was founded back in 1854 in Paris, France.
It's fitting that they are most associated with bags as the very first product was a type of trunk advertised as one that "Securely packs the most fragile objects. Specializing in packing fashions."
Vuitton, the man, is also considered the father of modern luggage because, oddly, he was the first to create rectangular luggage, which was perfect for stacking on trains and ships. Before his, trunks were dome shaped.
Of note: 2012 First quarter earnings for Louis Vuitton (LVMH) increased by 25 percent with sustained demand across all its product categories.
