What does it mean when your ears sound like they are echoing?

Not Medical Advice: Hearing echoes could indicate a blockage in the ear canal or middle ear. Earwax buildup is a common cause of ear echoing along with sinus infection, ear infection, fluid in the ear, or an object stuck in the ear canal. At the very worst, echoing may be caused by a tumor in the ear. New hearing-aid users report echoing in the ears that generally disappears after 4 to 6 weeks.
