What does "DZ" in a METAR report mean?

A METAR is a collection of weather information compiled hourly. The origin of the term “METAR” is most likely as a French acronym, however they are often referred to as a “METeorological Aviation Report.” A METAR is used by aviators as part of their flight preparation. Some of the abbreviations on the report are SN for snow, FG for fog & DZ for drizzle. Other information on a METAR includes wind speed and visibility in miles or fractions of a mile.
