Not Medical Advice: According to Dr. Pierre Dukan you can lose 1-2 lbs. a day during the 1st phase of his diet, the Dukan diet. The Dukan diet is a 4 phase high-protein, low-cal, low-carb diet. Eat protein and oats in all 4 phases. Eat only protein in the 1st phase (lose 7 pounds in 5 days). Add vegetables to your diet (lose 2 lbs. a week) in the 2nd phase. Fruits and grains are added in the 3rd phase. The 4th phase (stabilization) consists of following portions of the other phases for weight maintenance.
