What brands of hip replacements are recalled???
There are thousands of hip replacement implants that have been recalled. The most popular brands are Depuy ASR XL Acetabular System, and Depuy ASR Hip Resurfacing System. Other recalled implants include the Zimmer Durom Cup, Stryker Trident PSL, and the Stryker Trident Hemispherical Acetubular Cup.
The Depuy company recalled their hip replacement implants voluntarily due to failures. A lot of patients who received a Depuy hip replacement system had to go back in for revision surgeries. Stryker hip replacement implants were causing patients pain, discomfort, and fractured bones.
