Was journey ever inducted into the rock and roll hall of fame?

Journey has yet to be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Steve Perry said this:

"I think that, honestly, Journey doesn’t need to be in the Hall of Fame. With everything we accomplished … we’ve had our Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, you know? It’s in the hearts of the people out there and their experiences and their memories of what we did together and how we all had the time of our lives with the music that we loved to perform and they loved to hear. I really don’t want someone to qualify it any more than that."

The 27th Annual Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony took place on Saturday, April 14, 2012. It will air on HBO on May 5, 2012. Inductees: Guns N' Roses, Red Hot, Chili Peppers, Donovan, Laura Nyro, The Small Faces/Faces, Beastie Boys, The Crickets, The Famous Flames, The Midnighters, The Comets, The Blue Caps, The Miracles, Freddie King, Don Kirshner, Tom Dowd, Cosimo Matassa, and Glyn Johns.

This year Axl Rose of Guns N’ Roses became the 1st artist to publicly snub the honor since surviving members of the Sex Pistols refused to attend the 2006 induction ceremony.
