North Carolina has three billionaires on Forbes magazine’s annual roster of the nation’s 400 wealthiest people.
First, ranked 58 on the list is James Goodnight (CEO and co-founder of software company SAS Institute) with a fortune of $7.2 billion. Next is John Sall (cofounded SAS Institute and created the JMP statistical software) ranked 132 with $3.6 billion in assets.
Last is C.D. Spangler, Jr. (successful entrepreneur, enviable investor and community leader) ranked 243 with $2.3 billion on the list of the 400 richest Americans.

In the news, according to a new calculation by Bloomberg Markets magazine, half of the richest people come from just 2 families. Seven of the 12 richest people in the world have names ending in Koch, Walton or Adelson. Catch more at Huffington Post.
