Today was Michelle Beadle's last day on ESPN's Sportsnation. Where is she going and what is she doing?
Michelle Beadle (born October 23, 1975 in Italy) left ESPN on June 1, 2012, and moved over to the NBC network.
At NBC she's going to be working with both NBC Sports, in particular doing Olympic coverage shortly, as well as working on Access Hollywood.
Being ESPN's "it" girl, fans were concerned that loss of the smart, sexy, sassy host might mean the end for SportsNation, but ESPN had already chosen and groomed her replacement.
Charissa Thompson (born July 25, 1973 in Wilmington, North Carolina) is said to be taking her place; she's already been all over ESPN, including First Take, Numbers Never Lie, and SportsNation.
Beadle seems to have left on good terms, ESPN even threw her a going away party in which they "fake shot her out of a cannon."
