On average how many "google searches" happen every minute

For the last published year of data, 2011, there were 3,275,694 Google searches on average per minute, with over 1.7 trillion searches for the whole year.

Google shares sold for $85 during its initial public offering in August 2004. Eight years later, the shares are trading for $576.52 (as of July 13, 2012). That means an initial $10,000 investment would have grown to $67,825, which is about a 27% annual return.

Google is the most used search engine, with 81.32% of the market share for the first 6 months of 2012. In a far second is Bing with 8.5%, and pulling in third is Yahoo! with 7.35% of the market share.
