Jennifer Hudson has never appeared on the Emmy award winning soap opera The Young and the Restless. Angell Conwell who looks a lot like Hudson has filled the role of Leslie Michaelson on the show since 2010.
Hudson will appear in Andrew Levitas’ comedy-drama Lullaby which will start shooting in June 2012 in NYC. She also snagged a role in George Tillman, Jr.’s independent drama The Inevitable Defeat of Mister and Pete, which will begin filming in July 2012 in NYC and will be released in 2013.
You may have seen Conwell in movies like Sex Tax: Based on a True Story (2010), Perfect Combination (2010), The Killing of Wendy (2009), Frankenhood (2009), and There’s a Stranger in My House (2009). You’ll probably recognize her from television such as City Guys, Virtually Casey, Moesha, and 3rd Rock from the Sun.
Conwell’s latest film is Danielle L. Ross’s Back Then playing the character Natalie Devine. A theatrical release has not yet been announced to the public.
