Is lance armstrong still racing?
Lance Armstrong no longer races. He became active in the Ironman triathalons after retiring from cycling. His last Tour de France race was in 2011 where he placed 23rd.
He was recently charged again by the USADA (U.S. Anti-Doping Agency) for allegedly using steroids, testosterone, blood transfusions, a human growth hormone, and the blood booster EPO between 1998 and 2001 to enhance his cycling performance.
This accusation has made him ineligible to compete in the Ironman triathalons. This means he is being barred from competing in the June 24th Ironman France event that will be held in Nice. France.
The USADA is also requesting that he be stripped of all of his Tour de France titles.
Armstrong recently told the press, “I have never doped, and, unlike many of my accusers, I have competed as an endurance athlete for 25 years with no spike in performance, passed more than 500 drug tests and never failed one.”
