Add 21 to the ladies size you normally wear and that is the waist size of the men's pant or jean that will come closest to fitting you. If a woman wear a ladies size 18 jean you would try a men's size 39" waist (18+21=39").
Unfortunately, perfect-fitting jeans can also be tough to come by since sizing varies so greatly from one designer to the next. Check out this jeans measuring guide to find your perfect size and make ordering jeans online or shopping in-store for them a total breeze:
- First thing you need to measure is your waist. Some jeans come sized in inches (such as 23, 24, 25), while others are sized in numbers (2, 4, 6). Knowing your waist size will allow you to purchase jeans from any brand, no matter what the sizing system is that they use.
- The next part you need to measure is your inseam. The inseam is the distance between your cr0tch and your ankle. Inseams can differ from one brand to the next, which is why occasionally you’ll see jeans sized as “petite” and other times they will be sized as “tall.”
- The last thing you may want to bear in mind when shopping is what type of rise you are most comfortable with. The rise is how far up the jeans will sit on your waist, this includes: low rise, mid-rise and high rise jeans.
