How old is rapper lil phat
Lil Phat (born Melvin Vernell III) was 19 years old; sadly his life was cut short at that tender age.
Making a real name for himself in 2008 when he collaborated with Webbie on the song Independent (a single that would reach #9 on the Billboard charts), his career and life ended on Thursday, June 7, 2012.
He was in a Georgia Hospital parking lot (for reasons unknown thus far) when gunmen opened fire striking him several times; he was taken to Northside Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
There are no suspects yet, but two men were seen running from the scene, and there's hope that surveillance footage may help police find the people responsible.
