To become a Bat Boy, most MLB teams require you to be at least 14 years of age and in decent physical shape. There is usually a waiting list to become a Bat Boy. Bat Boys are responsible for many things including, picking up bats, cleaning players’ cleats, washing helmets, and “mudding baseballs”.
