The 6.6L Duramax LML is the latest model and is used in both 2011 and 2012 GMC and Chevrolet trucks. It is a 90 degree V8 engine producing 397 HP @ 3,000 RPM and 765 lb-ft torque @ 1,600 RPM. It uses advanced emissions equipment making it both the cleanest Duramax as well as the most powerful. It offers 11% better fuel mileage than 2010 models and is designed to last for at least 200,000 miles.
