She has recently stated in interviews that she's lost about 25 pounds since 2010 as part of her comeback effort for the 2012 Summer Olympics in London. At the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing, she won a Gold medal in Balance Beam, and 3 Silver medals in the Team, All-around, and Floor events. She took some time off from gymnastics after the 2008 Olympics until January 2010, when she tore her ACL and injured her meniscus and hamstrings in a skiing accident. Her recovery efforts from the injury inspired her to come back to Olympic competition.
