How much can you make in the national guard

Monthly pay for members of the National Guard ranges from $182 to $18,936.

$182 is monthly drill pay for pay grade E-1 with less than four months of service. This would be the rank of Private. On active duty, the same Private’s monthly pay would increase to $1,357.

$18,936 is active duty pay for pay grade O-10 with over 26 years of experience. This would be the rank of General. The same General’s monthly pay when not on active duty would be $2,534.

The Guard also pays for an annual 14-day training period. Depending on rank, the pay for these two weeks could total $632-$8,835.
