How many vehicles cross the george washington bridge daily?
The latest information from the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey says that in 2009 about 52,126,000 vehicles drove East across the George Washington bridge in 2009. So if we divide that by the 365 days in a year we get approximately 142,810. If we assume an equal number drove West we can say that about 285,621 vehicles cross the GWB every day. It's actually the most traveled bridge in the world! In 1962 the lower level was added, and is sometimes referred to as the Martha Washington bridge.
