How many calories per hour do you burn when laying out in the sun?
When doing no exercise, like laying out in the sun, a good rule of thumb estimate is that your body burns about 12 calories a day for each pound you weigh. In other words, if you weigh 150 pounds, then while just sitting around you burn about 12*150, or 1,800 calories per day. If you divide that by 24, you get 75 calories per hour.
