How long do american pit bulls tend to live?

American Pit Bull Terriers have an average lifespan of 12 to 14 years, and can weigh 30 and 90 pounds, with a 14 inch to 24 inch height. Although generally healthy, these animals are susceptible to parvovirus, allergies, hereditary cataracts, and hip dysplaysia. Pit bulls are best suited for caring, responsible, active owners who can provide lots of socialization, exercise, and mental stimulation opportunities.
