Classic country comedy series Hee Haw, debuted on CBS on June 15, 1969 and ran weekly for more than 22 years.
Hee Haw is one of the most popular and longest-running variety shows in television history. The show’s final episode aired on May 30, 1992.
Hee Haw was such a success that CBS slated the series for a mid-season debut. There were 585 one-hour shows taped in Nashville, Tennessee, initially in 1969 at the CBS affiliate WLAC-TV (now WTVF-TV) and then moving to the Opryland Complex -Studio A in 1980.
