How long can a frozen turkey stay good in the freezer for?
According to the FDA, a frozen whole turkey should be consumed within one year for best taste. However, turkeys may be frozen indefinitely. They will not spoil while frozen, but the quality may decrease if frozen for extended periods of time. Turkeys should be thawed in the refrigerator and never on the counter at room temperature. Cook the turkey until it reaches an internal temperature of 185F in the thigh and 165F in the breast.
