Not legal advice: You must show proof in Oregon that you are an officiating minister with either a license or a letter of good standing from your church. No formal training is required. There is no central registry for ordained clergy. Many online “churches” will allow you to apply for legal ordination on their website. A couple in particular cater specifically to Oregon residents.

You can become an ordained minister in the state of Oregon through the American Fellowship Church. You must order an ID Card (minister license) from the website for either a 1-year ($30), 5-year ($100), or lifetime term ($250). You must also agree to the [Certification and Code of Ethics] (http://bit.ly/JFhECY).

First National Ministry will also ordain you to be a minister in Oregon. It is $32 for a 2-year license, $64 for a 5-year license, and $112 for a 10-year license.

American Marriage Ministries will allow you to obtain an Oregon ordination license for free. A donation or a purchase from their store is requested.
