How did Mitchell Guist die? He was on swamp people on history.
According to the preliminary autopsy results, Mitchell Guist died of natural causes. The sheriff reported that while Guist was working on building a houseboat, he had what appeared to be a seizure and fell down.
The individual with Guist at the time of this event performed CPR, but Guist was later pronounced dead at Teche Regional Medical Center in Morgan City.
“Trapper Joe” LaFont from Swamp People has also been in the news. He was recently arrested on suspicion of domestic violence. LaFont’s girlfriend alleges that he hit her in the chest and tried to burn her with a cigarette during a fight.
