How did Dum Dum suckers get their name?
In 1924 I.C. Bahr, the early sales manager of the Akron Candy Company in Bellevue, Ohio named the ball-shaped candy on a stick as "Dum Dums" because it was a word any child could say.
Dum Dums are made from a mixture of sugar and corn syrup. Each Dum Dums Pop has only 25 calories and no fat.
One way to help prevent obesity is to exercise "portion control". These candies are a perfectly sized treat, providing a quick, high-flavor treat without consuming too much.
