According to FINA and USA Water Polo the pool must be large enough to accommodate a field of play "more than 20 meters but less than 30m (for men) and 25m (for women) in length." The width can be from 10 to 20m. One meter (m) is equivalent to 3.28084 feet.
The minimum depth of the water must be 6 feet. The goals are to be 3 meters wide by 90 centimeters high. The field must be marked in 4 places to indicate specific distances of the field. They are the goal line, the 2m and 5m lines, and the mid pool line.
