How come Lisa & Maya are not on this season of Ice Road Trucker

Thom Beers of Original Productions had this to say about former History Channel Ice Road Trucker Lisa Kelly: “We offered her a contract to return [Season 6] and she chose not to. That’s it. We invited her back. Love to have her. She’s taking a year off, realizing that she might not be able to get another show. But she’s an interesting woman. We liked her.”

Maya Sieber told fans via Facebook that the show’s producers never gave her a reason for not being asked to appear on Season 6. She also said she probably would have declined the offer if they had extended one to her.

Lisa was on Ice Road Truckers (IRT) Season 3 - Season 5 and on the first two seasons of the spin-off Ice Road Truckers: Deadliest Roads. Maya Sieber joined Ice Road Truckers (IRT) in Season 5 as a second female driver.

Lisa just appeared at the September 2012 Annual Truckfest on the Newark & Notts Showground in Newark, UK.

Maya will be the Grand Marshall at the 36th Annual U.S. Diesel Truckin’ Nationals at Old Bridge Township Raceway Park in Englishtown, New Jersey on September 15, 2012.
