No, and in fact on the March 8, 2006 episode of the Mythbusters, Adam Savage and Jamie Hyneman tested this very myth! They captured and tested a "flatus" from Adam to determine the chemical composition of the gas, and then recreated it in a small enclosed room. The end result was that a human cannot produce enough gas to kill themselves.
