Does Kate Beckinsale die in Contraband?

No. Kate Beckinsale's character doesn't die at the end of the 2012 movie Contraband. She plays Kate Farraday, the wife of main character Chris Farraday, played by Mark Wahlberg.

In the movie, her younger brother gets in trouble with criminals involved in smuggling drugs and other illegal items into the US through New Orleans. Wahlberg's character used to be a smuggler, so he decides to go on one last trip as a smuggler to pay off the debt that his brother-in-law owes to the criminals.

Kate Farraday's life is threatened many times throughout the movie, because the criminals make threats to ensure Chris Farraday pays them back. Near the end of the movie, Kate hits her head and appears to be dead, but she miraculously recovers at the very end of the movie after being unconscious for a very long time.

Other major stars in the movie are: Giovanni Ribisi, Lukas Haas, Ben Foster, and J.K. Simmons.

Contraband was released in theaters on January 13, 2012 and on DVD on April 24, 2012.
