Did the chicago bears trade greg olsen?

The Chicago Bears traded tight end Greg Olsen to the Carolina Panthers. The move was announced late July 28th, 2011 after speculations had been swirling since early that morning. Olsen’s relocation away from the Bears is less than shocking since many rumors have been present about his possible involvement in past trades that never came to fruition. Chicago’s offensive coordinator, Mike Martz, is known for preferring a blocking tight end, whereas Olsen is more of a pass-catching tight end.
