No, Michael Clarke Duncan was not in the 1997 Nicholas Cage film Con Air. You might be thinking of Ving Rhames who played Diamond Dog, a former general of the Black Guerillas.
Duncan is best known for his role as John Coffey in the 1999 film The Green Mile. He has also been in The Whole Nine Yards, See Spot Run, Planet of the Apes, and Kung Fu Panda.
Sadly, Duncan passed away on September 3, 2012 at the age of 54 from “natural causes” according to the coroner. His family has stated that he never really recovered from a heart attack he had over the summer. Duncan was engaged to reality-star Omarosa Manigault-Stallworth.
