Nope, actor Alfonso Ribeiro - known to many as Carlton from TV's Fresh Prince of Bel Air - is alive and well. He was just the latest "victim" of the celebrity death hoax phenomenon that's been sweeping the Internet in recent years, leaving a long list of not-dead celebrities in its wake.

Reports of his "death" began surfacing on Thursday, September 6th, 2012, as did another fake death report for actor Morgan Freeman - who's also alive and well, a fact confirmed by his representative on September 8th.

Ribeiro had been spotted out in public the same day the death rumors surfaced on Thursday, following the 2012 MTV Video Music Awards. After learning of the swirling rumors, Ribeiro took to his Twitter profile and let fans know he was still breathing. "I wonder what people are gonna say at my funeral???", the actor tweeted.

Ribeiro is engaged to Angela Unkrich. The couple lives in Los Angeles and plans to marry in October 2012.
