Not medical advice: There is a very long list of foods that contain low sodium. These foods include:

Unsalted nuts, unsalted popcorn, all fresh fruits and vegetables, frozen fruits and vegetables that don't include sauces, all unprocessed me@ts, eggs, peanut butter, cream cheese, Monterrey cheese, mozzarella cheese, ricotta cheese, half and half, sour cream and whipped cream, white and whole grain breads, graham cr@ckers, macaroni, doughnuts, cookies, spaghetti, rice, rinsed canned tuna, and milk.

You can also try purchasing foods that say "low salt" on them, or "low sodium." There are many foods out there that usually have high amounts of sodium that are made with low sodium for those who are at risk for high blood pressure.

A new study shows that hundreds of thousands of lives could be saved over ten years if there was a reduction in sodium. Americans choosing to eat the level of sodium recommended by the federal guidelines could really put a dent in the amount of deaths caused by illnesses that are brought about or worsened through high sodium diets.
