Can you drive your car legally in colorado with no plates if you just got The car and have insurance and have a bill of sale?
Not legal advice: All vehicles must display valid license plates in the state of Colorado. Front and rear plates are both required by law.
The regular Colorado license plate is available for passenger vehicles, vehicles driven by people with disabilities, motorcycles, light trucks, recreational trucks and trailers.
Alternatives to the regular plate include:
“Alumni plates” display the corresponding Colorado university, college or academy. “Group supporting plates” benefit groups such as Girl Scouts and firefighter organizations. There are also personalized designer plates.
As of August 1, 2012 Colorado will change the way they process license plate renewal cards. The new notices will be white postcards without a blue return label sticker. Due to possible delays caused by this process change, August renewal cards may be sent late.
License plates are manufactured by Colorado Correctional Industries.
