Can drug tests detect detox?

DSC09339Not medical advice: Drug screens cannot detect whether or not you have consumed detox drinks or pills.

A 5-panel drug test will look for the presence of marijuana (THC), cocaine, amphetamines/methamphetamines (Ecstasy, crystal meth), opiates (heroin) and phencyclidine (PCP) in your system.

Caffeine and other ingredients in detox drinks and pills may cause urine validity (adulteration) tests to reveal creatinine, nitrite, glutaraldehyde, pH, specific gravity, or oxidants/pyridinium chlorochromate (PCC) levels that fall below a set lab concentration resulting in a failed drug test.

New research shows that the use of these baby soaps can trigger false positives for marijuana use on a drug test: Aveeno Baby Soothing Relief Creamy Wash, Aveeno Baby Wash Shampoo and CVS Night-Time Baby Bath, Johnson & Johnson’s Bedtime Bath, and Johnson & Johnson Head-to-Toe Baby Wash.
